Clean Slate & A LaptopAs I packed up and cleaned out my apartment, I saw the process as a reflection of my spiritual journey. I opened every door, checked every cupboard, and cleaned every floor while deciding what’s necessary and what’s excessive. Each item I tossed was a habit that no longer served me being dropped. The items wasting space along with the habits wasting time were no longer welcomed because they held no value within my purpose. Each item I traded or gave away was a principle being released from my perspective consciousness. The items had served me well for a time, as did the principles, but change is an inevitable essential along any journey of growth. Therefore, I pass on the past lessons to the next spirit in need as I create the opportunity for myself to receive the new upcoming ones needed to grow my perspective. The law of reciprocation teaches that the path to receiving more begins with the act of giving more.

This was one of the first of many lessons on transformation along my journey. I was entering a period where I would have no central address. I had recently freed the structure of my work schedule and I had now infected my personal location schedule with the same virus of abundant free space to move. A vacation 2 states away only needed a moments notice and a tank of gas. I was able to work from anywhere as long as I had a pen & pad next along with my laptop & cell phone. Add a small duffle bag of clothes plus a toothbrush and I was officially nomad-ready.

“Free Your Mind & Your Ass Will Follow”  -The Funkadelics

(Enter next major lesson) All the freedom in the universe will not sustain without some level of discipline. From many perspectives we may assume that freedom and discipline are distant relatives in the family of manifestation. I found it more accurate along my early journey that the manifestation of discipline in the things you need to do will almost directly lead to the manifestation of freedom to accomplish whatever else it is that you desire. Building and maintaining my own self-discipline mirrors the building and maintenance of my personal freedoms; a simple realization that has allowed me to not only move more freely physically, but also mentally. Creativity has the ability to flow through my body, mind, and spirit when I maintain the discipline to create consistently. I no longer feel the need to actively “think outside the box” now that I’m disciplining my mind to understand that “the box” does not exist in my world. The law of reciprocation continues to apply, as each advance in discipline yields an expansion in freedom.
